The short ribs are marinated in a balanced sweet and savory sauce. They are caramelize, tender and flavorful. it’s served sliced off the bone and rolled into lettuce leaves and served with rice.

Ingredients
2.5 lb LA beef short ribs
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup mirin
¼ cup honey
1 Korean Pear
1 onion
5 gloves garlic
1 tsp grated ginger juice
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
green onion, for garnish (optional)
toasted sesame seed, for garnish (optional)
lettuce leaves, for serving
rice, for serving
Directions
Rinse the ribs a couple times to wash off bone dust and drain well.
Cut the pear and onion in quarters. Blend the pear, onion and garlic until smooth juice.
Add the blend juice, soy sauce, mirin, honey, ginger juice, sesame oil and black pepper into the marinate container. Mix all marinade ingredients well.
Add the ribs into the marinate container. Marinate the ribs overnight.
Preheat the pan over medium-high heat. Remove short ribs from marinade and wipe off excess. Pan sear the ribs for 3 minutes on each side until caramelized. Feel free to grill the short ribs.
Transfer to a serving platter add chopped green onions and toasted sesame seed for garnish. Serve with rice, lettuce leaves and kimchi!
